The generator pokes through the top a bit which allows you to be able to turn it on without having to go underneath. This design allows you to be able to just put eggs on the ceilings above the acs.

Even if it did work, you'd need to do something like what I've seen used: 1) Lay foundations, lay a ton of electrical and AC on top of that. 2) Lay ceilings on top of above, the build your base on the ceilings, almost as if the AC isn't there. Any upper floors would need this extra layer again.
