My GSG seems to have one nagging problem, failure to go into battery. I've checked and what is holding it open, that fraction of an inch, is the extractor. It hits the face of the extractor slot, and stops the slide just short of battery. If I just put my thumb on back of slide it goes into place easily. GSG is owned by SIG Sauer’s parent company, and for many years GSG manufactured the SIG Mosquito. The FireFly is the same gun rebranded and with some improvements in reliability. I owned a Mosquito a few years ago and suffered many feeding issues. Those problems have been resolved in the FireFly.

Round #3 of the 10 CCI SV rounds failed to chamber, but ejected the spent case and cocked the hammer. The rest chambered and fired. The Norma TAC22 immediately had issues, not ejecting or cocking the hammer. My S&W M&P22 Compact won't shoot it either, so it's not just the GSG.Jul 3, 2018 · GSG Firefly .22. Jan 20, 2019 · Maybe it'll smooth out with some use. I have a 22/45 but I prefer the GSG 1911-22 that I chose rather than the Firefly. The 22/45 is more prone to FTF when it gets dirty than the 1911-22. Also, the GSG 1911-22 is cheaper and looks like a normal 1911 while the 22/45 looks like Ruger product (which I like). here is a 1200 round review and fix for sticking slide/ Cycling issue for the GSG ATI 1911 .22lr hvSlight update: There was a burr on the right rail. I shot my Firefly yesterday and for the 1st time had an issue, it would go into battery after about 75-100 rnds. I believe I forgot to lube the gun last cleaning. The 1911 shot fine. The SIG specs on the Mosquito list trigger pull at 14 and 7 - DA and SA.
