The highest 71B number I have seen with anniversary markings is ...The number is 97987 indicating a 1969 manufacture date. But I am told that an 'N' in the SN means it is a 1978 year model. The N is below the SN, not in line with it. And, the front and rear sight are nickel. There are no letters parallel to the serial number, but there is an 'N' below the SN. Maybe the N and O stamp here represent something else.When I enter it into the Colt serial number lookup, only one gun comes up (not an saa).
