I'm on my third one, and it functions okay with a fresh cylinder but will act up when it runs low on juice. I've got both old-style and new mags for it and the behavior is the same way.

One of my p365’s was an early model that had the same issue. SIG replaced the weapon. I took a video at the indoor range I go to locally. I informed them that I had an issue and needed to video while shooting and they didn’t have a problem. I placed my phone on my range bag and leaned it against the lane wall.
