Feb 14, 2014 · The issue is, basically, if I hand cycle the slide and ease it forward, the slide will get stuck about 1/8" out of battery. I then can push the slide forward the rest of the way. Like I said, it doesn't affect live firing, but the P89 I owned in the past wouldn't get stuck out of battery when doing this, so I wonder how normal this is.

But the problem is the slide "locks out" on last round. There is absolutely no play. The slide stop won't go down no matter how hard you come after it. Also make sure the ejector is pushed all the way up in the normal position. If it's not, the trigger may not reset properly. Hopefully this will help but it's hard to tell without actually looking at the pistol.
