I finally figured it out! I saw another driver post that it had to do with the connect feature in the Uber app. I went to the bottom of my screen where there are 3 lines with circles. Then I tapped to open it. I unchecked the connect box and then closed the app. When I signed back into Uber the hot spots showed back up.
