The orange light above the TiVo button stays on after pressed the volume button a couple of times. When I press the TiVo button and TV/Power button simultaneously, red light and amber light alternates quickly.The 90% solution is to press the Format button on the Tivo quite rapidly and at the same time, press the pause button rapidly. After 5 or 10 seconds, the Tivo starts responding normally to the remote button presses and I'm back in business. Not ideal, but definitely better than rebooting.
