Dayz has been out for 8 years looks terrible has more of survival stuff fleshed out but Scum looks amazing and has more things to actually explore and has only been out 3 years so hasn't hit its final form or greatest potential yet, where DayZ is getting tired and really doesn't have much anywhere else to go without a complete remake IMO.

Any way DayZ has better PVP, way more player interaction and the maps (Official or modded) suit the game better (SCUM's too big for their server capacity), SCUM has better graphics, better inventory and medical system and more stuff to do as a whole if we're talking official servers.
