The c5's can handle a lot with some decent mods... there are plenty of upgrades for the stock A4 tranny's go with a xtreme duty rear and upgrade the half shafts.... most of the guys I know are putting 700+ to the rear wheels and they are holding up.Weak pinion gears. The 7.5 can take about 250 hp with a auto trans and last a good long time. 300 up and breakage is inevitable. I drive my car like a p***y for that very reason. I'm saving up for a custom Dana 60. 900 hp won't break it. 8) Of course then my weakest like will be my T5.michaelssm. Anyways I can use that as a idea of what I need. But since 500 horsepower is so easy I might get a little greedy and want more. 530 horsepower would get me close to the same power-to-weight ratio as the Hellcat Challenger. I had the idea to modernize the 440. I want to fuel inject it.

In the 80 versions where they started using an electronic stall converter they don't hold up well at all.People have ran the stock TH200 4R, in the Grand National and T-Type to 500rwhp and 550-600 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels. its not really how much "it" can handle but how much you can.
