The axe is better against anything with roughly 70-80 defense or higher (the exact threshold varies by setup). Anything with low/no defense will favor the d scim. I’d encourage you to play around with a calc with your own stats and gear and whatever monsters you melee most often. The wiki’s new calc is pretty accessible and accurate.

Wouldnt suggest it. 1.New Keris Partisan worse at killing Kalphites than pretty much all other options. At T65 the Keris partisan is outmatched by literally every weapon in the tier before it. Coming in with a whopping +45 str bonus, even the dragon spear/hasta decimate it with +60 str bonus. The D scim isnt even a competition at 67 str bonus.1215. The spec can give very big dps increases against bosses like graardor or sire, which both directly increases kills/hour and decreases supply cost per kill.
