If you want a flat land for large base, Boskar Beach or Boskar Meadow. Close enough to most important locations, some modest metal and obsidian nodes at stone's throw. It's kinda halfway between all interesting places on the map. If you don't mind being away from mainland and obelisks, the eastern part of the desert is awesome.Won't be a full on, 20 turret base. Just like maybe 4 heavies and <10 vacuum compartments. The formations south of Weathertop are pretty complex for nesting, but the area that rarely gets touched is off the eastern tip of The Southern Coast cove. There is a steep drop and not many resources to draw players to the area.
