Have to check the bikes for any fault codes that might have been stored. If you bought the bike from a dealer, take it back and have them fix it.

Key on, push start button and pump should run. Maybe change fuel filter while you are in there. Fuel pump only runs if engine or starter are running. On my 01, the fuel pump comes on as soon as the key is turned.

Pull the cold start knob out, and twist it to hold it in position. Give a very small amount of throttle, but dont twist back and fore when trying to start. So the old crank no start reared its ugly head today. Found that the gray wire on the ignition switch only had 1 volt on it. Took the ignition switch apart and found resistor had broken and appeared to be making intermittent contact.
Clutch Slipping. My 2003 Vulcan 1500 Classic clutch started slipping at 38000 miles so I took it to the dealer and he replaced the clutch. I complained that the friction point was too close, about 1/4" from the handle bar grips and he told me it was because of my after market hydraulic reservoirs.
