4L60e is a descendent of the 700r tranny but computer controlled. Not a bad tranny but there is a big difference between 1st and 2nd ratios. Many were used in Gen 4 cars behind LS1 engines. A better option would be the 4L80e but it is heavier and likely overkill for your application. The 80e depends from the TH400 and is a tough beast.
