Had continuity thru ecu and voltage at 5v at blue tp connecter. Hooked 5v source to the tps and it read .5v with butterfly closed. Read a section about clearing stored dtc ...

Hey everyone. So as the title says my check engine light came on today on my 08 cbr1000rr and suddenly my bike started acting as if I had ran out of gas or as if I kept pressing the front brakes. Engine light was always on not flashing or anything. Could not go over 3000rpm and the sound coming out of the pipe was not "normal".That is normal. This is actually a good way to see if the system is in the "ready" state if you disconnect your battery to clear a code. If you turn the key to "On", the CEL will blink several times. If the light goes out, or stays solid, the system is "Ready". In other words, it has completed a "Drive Cycle" and can be tested for Emmisions etc.
