At 55 °C (140 °F), the sensor resistance is 2.488 kilo ohms . The sensor resistance should read between these two values.As it turns out it runs stable as a rock at 188 under normal conditions. It runs up to about 192 when it's warmer outside in traffic. It has been up to about 212 in summer, around town in traffic with lights/etc. If your gauge is stable there is usually no reason for concern.
