Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear.

I have 2012 dodge that is stuck in (limp mode) 4th gear. could cut the engine off and restart it to get it to go into D. or even manual shift but sooner or later in slipped right. back into 4th (limp mode).Trans stuck in 4th. 2013 ram 3500hd is stuck in 4th gear while in drive. Reverse works. There is a shift solenoid A and a tcm low voltage code. There is a couple "u" codes. I can't remember what other codes was stored in it. It's a work Truck that I got thrown in the middle of it when the mechanic left.Start the truck in neutral, and pull the shifter straight down to 1st gear. Drive it, and see if you can manually shift it to 2nd with no hiccup's. If it still acts up with that 7 pin connector unplugged, you have an electronic issue (in the valve body). A few miles we ended up in a back up for a few miles & the truck was stuck in second gear. Pulled over (took a few miles till I could pull over) & let the truck cool down/check the trans fluid.
