I currently run the vortex on my 43x and it's pretty solid! And yeah no plates required to mount. Even with Glock's grip reduction efforts, the 19 still feels bigger especially for people with tiny hands. I have a couple of 43xs, a standard and an MOS. I am not big on weapons lights for concealed carry, but I do see the wisdom of an MRD and will eqiop the second 43x that way. The 43x is also slimmer and carries better.
