What you need to do is to create your garden, fertilize every voxel of the garden, then put down your seeds. Getting 2-3 crops from a harvest with LotL Lvl 2 means you are harvesting wild plants only (wild plants give you one crop, LotL doubles that and gives you a 50% chance for an additional crop which gives you 2-3 crops). Also, you don't get seeds back from wild crops. Noticed you were just as late as me lmao, but if you haven't already figured out how seeds work all you need to do is name your playthrough the seed name on a random gen world.
